Commune of the Lake of the Upper Sure Attractions
The typical Ardennes villages of Bavigne, Harlange, Kaundorf, Mecher, Nothum and Tarchamps-Watrange make up the commune of the Lake of the Upper Sure.
At Bavigne the town hall, parish church (altar dating from 1741 and stations of the Cross) and holiday apartments are worth noting.
In Harlange there is a holiday center for young people, a unique environment covering 30 hectares and scattered with footpaths. There are varied walking paths leading to Tarchamps-Watrange as well as cross-country ski trails.
At Kaundorf there are water sports facilities, a pilgrimage to St Pirmin chapel and spring (on Whitsun Monday), a rebuilt was bunker, mountain bike rentals, guided walks in summer, nature trails and footpaths over the lake with fine views.
Liefrange, nearby, is located right near the lake. The lively activities of the water sports center combine with the peace and quiet of the wooded slopes are attractive to visitors. There is an extensive network of footpaths in the village.
