Beaufort Attractions
Beaufort is situated on a plateau in the Mullerthal region. It has a Renaissance castle and the ruins of a 12th C. castle, as well as a neo-Gothic church.
Beaufort Kirsch and Cassis are the area's most popular specialties.
A number of footpaths lead through the wooded hills (viewpoints), through rock formations and the gorges of the "Hallerbach" and the "Saueracht" towards Grundhof and Dillingen in the Sure valley. The town has a open-air swimming pool, a skating rink, tennis and miniature golf, and a horse riding center.
