Zederhaus Valley and Grosser Hafner

To the west of St Michael the Zederhaus valley, through which the highway runs to Salzburg, joins the Mur valley. In the Mur valley a road leads westward via Muhr (1,124m/3,688ft) to Rotgülden; from there it is a four to five hour climb by way of the Unterer Rotgüldensee (1702m/5584ft; mountain hut) and the Oberer Rotgüldensee (1710m/5611ft) to the summit of the Grosser Hafner (3076m/10,092ft).
