Lugano - surroundings

Lugano's two hills, Monte San Salvatore and Monte Brè, offer attractive day and half-day trips. Driving tours are worthwhile into the Malcantone, to Tesserete and Gandria.

There are also a variety of possible excursions further afield. From March 1 to October 31 a reasonably priced holiday ticket covering travel on all train, boat and postal bus services for a period of seven days can be obtained from travel agencies and tourist information offices.
