Schlosspark Description
North and west of the Schloss in Ludwigslust extends the Schlosspark. It was originally laid out in Baroque style, but in the early 19th C. part of it was converted into a landscaped park by P. J. Lenné. Among surviving Baroque features are the Grand Canal and stone bridge (both c. 1760) and, farther north, the artificial ruin and the Swiss cottage (Schweizerhaus).
