Los Angeles - Pershing Square

Pershing Square, located in downtown Los Angeles, has been in existence in one form or another since 1866. It has undergone several re-inventions but is today an outdoor concert and event area with various activities depending on the season. One of the more modern additions to the Pershing Square calendar is ice skating. In the late 1990s an outdoor ice skating rink was added for the time period between mid November and mid January.

This can be a fun place to visit over the holidays either to participate in the ice skating or watch the skating while enjoying some free concerts.
