Los Angeles - Hollywood Sign

The world-famous Hollywood sign was erected in 1923 to draw attention to a housing development called Hollywoodland, located on the east side of Hollywood (now Beachwood). In the late 70s, Gene Autry, Alice Cooper and other celebrities contributed money to replace to deteriorating sign.
