Hollywood Bowl

 
The Hollywood Bowl is an outdoor concert area set in a natural amphitheatre. The area can hold up to 30,000 people, although this includes standing area as well. There is seating for approximately 20,000 people. The history of the Hollywood Bowl dates back to the 1920s and has attracted top performers over the years.

Today the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra performs here throughout the summer months with its "Symphonies Under the Stars". There are also special evenings with the Hollywood Bowl's tradition of fireworks.

The church service at sunrise on Easter Sunday is a long-standing tradition.

May 1 to September 4: 10am-8:30pm; Closed: Sun, Mon
September 5 to April 30: 10am-4:30pm; Closed: Sun, Mon, Sun, Mon
Always closed on: Labor Day - USA (1st Monday, September)
Tips: Concerts: Tues.-Sat. 8.30 pm, Sun. 7.30 pm. Arrive early due to traffic and parking tie-ups. Opening hours refer to museum (free admission). Rehearsals are open to the public free of charge (i.e. LA Philharmonic).
