Battersea Power Station
East of Battersea Park rises the striking silhouette of one of London's landmarks: Battersea Power Station. Built at the beginning of the 1930s, the power station is no longer in operation and is now preserved as an example of industrial architecture.
Although some called for the destruction of building all together it was decided that the Battersea Power Station would be turned into a development project with hotels, entertainment venues, galleries, living space, and more. All of this comes complete with an enhanced transportation system to the area as well.
