Litomerice - Main Square Mirove namesti

On the Main Square (Mirove namesti) in Litomerice, visitors will find a variety of architectural styles. The Gothic Church of All Saints (Kostel Vsech svatych), easily recognizeable by the white medieval tower, was reconstructed by Broggio. The Old Town Hall (Staromestske radnice) is a mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles. Also located on the main square are the unique House at the Chalice (Dum U Kalicha) built in 1537, and the House at the Black Eagle (Dum U cerneho orla), notable for the sgraffiti which adorns the walls. It is actually the mixture of architectural styles in this one area that makes the square so impressive. Just west of the square is the North Bohemia Fine Arts Gallery (Severoceska galerie vytvarneho umeni) built in the late 19th Century.
