Lithgow - Surroundings

The great attraction for railway enthusiasts is the Zig Zag Railway (10km east of Lithgow on the road to Bell), built in 1869 through breathtaking scenery and now partly restored.

5km south of Lithgow, just off the Great Western Highway, is the Hassan Walls Lookout, with wide views of the mountains.
