Lisbon - Rua das Portas de Santo Antao
The lively Rua das Portas de Santo Antao is one of the parallel streets lying to the east of the Avenida da Liberdade. The street name dates from the 15th C. when a gate in the former town wall stood here. The street is mainly well known for its many restaurants offering a wide selection of seafood. There are also some interesting buildings to be seen here.

Coliseu dos Recreios
The Coliseu dos Recreios was built in 1888 to the design of the architect Goulard. The facade was designed by the Italian César Janz, the large glass dome was constructed in Berlin. The architect Cassiano Branco carried out larger renovations in 1929. With room for more than 7,000 visitors, the Coliseu was for a long time the city's largest location for events. Circus and variety performances used to take place in the octagonal hall, nowadays not only classical concerts given by large orchestras but also a variety of stars from the field of light music can be heard in the Coliseu.
