Lisbon - Igreja de Santa Cruz do Castelo
By making a tour of the streets within the castle walls, the little Largo Santa Cruz do Castelo, on which stands the church of the same name, is automatically reached. It dates from the 12th C. and has been renovated and restored several times owing to damage. It is supposed that a mosque stood on this site during the time of the Arabs. Within the church stands a statue of St George, which used to be carried in Corpus Christi processions.
