Cabo de Espichel Description
Cabo Espichel is the western tip of the peninsula, formed by a westerly outlier of the Serra da Arrábida. This bleak landscape affords impressive views of the coastal scenery, the cliffs falling sheer into the sea. Just north of the lighthouse warning seafarers of the dangers is the Baroque pilgrimage chapel of Nossa Senhora do Cabo, flanked by long two story buildings to accommodate the pilgrims.
