Linköping - Air Force Museum

(Local Name: Flygvapenmuseum Malmen) On the western outskirts of Linköping can be found the Air Force Museum, with a collection of Swedish military aircraft and air force equipment.

This museum houses an excellent collection of aircraft types not seen outside Sweden. They are displayed inside and outside of the museum. There are attractive dioramas of aviation activities and good photographic opportunities.

Since the museum is on an active air force base it may be possible to see aircraft in flight. The first powered flight in Sweden occured here in 1911.
