Kruger National Park - Timbavati Nature Reserve

The Timbavati private nature reserve, half way down the west side of the Kruger National Park, occupies an area of unspoiled bushveld some 75,000 ha/185,000ac in extent which is home to numerous birds and animals, including some species which are threatened with extinction. A day-and-night safari through the park, accompanied by an armed ranger, gives visitors the thrilling experience of being close to the ''real'' Africa.

The Ngala camp has first-class air-conditioned accommodation for a maximum of 40 people, with a swimming pool, an airstrip and a conference center. Also in the Timbavati reserve is the Tanda Tula game lodge, a small and very exclusive establishment accommodating a maximum of 14 people, with three rangers who will arrange individual programs for visitors. Accommodation is in straw-roofed cottages set round the swimming pool.

Comfortable accommodation is also available in the Motswari (26 beds) and M'bali (14 beds) game lodges.

The owners of the luxurious private game lodges in the Kruger National Park try to let their guests see the big game at close quarters
