Kruger National Park - Private Game Reserves
On the western border of the Kruger National Park are a number of private game reserves in which most of the animals living in the National Park can also be seen. In these reserves accommodation for visitors is in exclusive ''game lodges'', which are markedly more luxurious (and correspondingly more expensive) than the state-run camps; almost all of them have swimming pools.

Visitors are taken round the reserves in open-top jeeps, the drivers of which are kept informed by radio of the whereabouts of game. Night trips are also organized, offering the additional thrill of ''dinner in the bush''.
