(Local Name: Schloss) Behind the Cathedral in Limburg is the old castle of the Counts of Lahn, dating in part from the 13th C.

At the foot of the castle is the Town Church (14th C.) and adjoining it the Bishop's Palace, with the Cathedral treasury (Cross reliquary of 959).
