Lima - Italian Art Museum

(Local Name: Museo de Arte Italiano) As the name suggests, the Museo de Arte Italiano (Italian Art Museum) houses a collection of Italian art. Although it may seem strange that Lima would have a museum dedicate to Italian art, the collection was given to Peru by Italy for the Centennial of their Independence. The museum is mostly comprised of 20th century Italian art.

The structure which houses the Museo de Arte Italiano is a unique looking neoclassical building. The museum is

located at Parque Neptuno (Neptune Park), in front of Parque de la Exposición, in Paseo de la República 250.
