Potala Palace - Red Palace

The Red Palace was built by the king who ruled instead of the 6th Dalai Lama in the years up to 1694. It contains the most important shrines. The appearance of the Potala has hardly changed since its construction. The heart of the Red Palace is the Great West Hall, the enthronement hall.
