Walloon Church Description
(Local Name: Waalse Kerk) Opposite the Rijnlandshuis is the Municipal Concert Hall (Stadsgehoorzaal) of Leyden and the Waalse Kerk (Walloon Church; No. 64), which was formerly the chapel of St Catherine's Hospital. Originally Late-Gothic, it was enlarged in 1634, and in 1739 was given a new facade with a Baroque tower. To the right can be seen part of the old hospital.
