Leyden - Barracks

(Local Name: Doelenkaserne) Beyond the Coach Builders' Museum is the Groenhazengracht, on the opposite side of which is a doorway (1645) with a figure of St Joris (George) and the dragon. This is the entrance to the old Doelenkaserne (barracks) and Arsenal. The whole complex is now occupied by the University.
