Glenveagh National Park

 
West of Gartan Lough stretches Glenveagh National Park. The entrance and the Visitor Center are on the northern shore of Lough Beagh, reached along the R251. The park of 38sq.mi/100sq.km was founded in 1986; its center is formed by Lough Beagh which is surrounded by impressive mountain and moorland scenery.

March 17 to November 5: 10am-6:30pm
Tips: Private cars are not allowed in the park, but a shuttle bus runs to from the Park Visitor Centre to Glenveagh Castle, 2miles/3km away. Access to castle interior is by tour only. Last admission 45 minutes before closing.
Disability Access: Partial facilities for persons with disabilities.
Guides: Guided tour included with admission.
