Lenzerheide - winter sports

The Val Sporz region saw the advent of "mechanized" skiing with the first sledge-railroad as the forerunner of the ski-lift in 1936. Nowadays this extensive area has over 50 prepared ski-lifts as well as numerous elevators below the Parpaner Weisshorn and Schwarzhorn (reached by cableway to Alp Scharmoin) and on the slopes of Piz Scalottas and the Stätzerhorn. Cross-country skiing, tobogganing, skating, curling, horse-drawn sleigh rides. Three ski schools.
