Akamas - Baths of Aphrodite / Fontana Amorosa

(Local Name: Akámas - Loutrá tis Afrodhítis / Fontana Amorosa) The Baths of Aphrodite are located in the Akamas Peninsula, near Polis, 48 kilometers north of Paphos. According to legend, the goddess Aphrodite used to take her beauty baths in a pool of a natural grotto, shaded by a fig tree, which can still be visited. Nature trails set from Akamas to lead nature lovers to incomparable views of unspoiled land.

Nearby is the Fontana Amorosa, or fountain of love, which is said to bubble with Aphrodite's fabled love potion.

The fountain is very difficult to access and can be reached only on foot or with a four-wheel drive vehicle.
