Las Vegas - University of Nevada
Perhaps better known by its acronym UNLV, the University of Nevada Las Vegas is one of the nation's finest research establishments. The UNLV campus is open to the general public and one of the most interesting sights is the arboretum. Athletics also plays a big role at UNLV; several of the university's teams are ranked in the top tier of their respective sports.

Marjorie Barrick Museum
The Marjorie Barrick Museum is located in Las Vegas. A visit to this museum is worthwhile for its amazing displays of pre Columbian and Native American cultures. Thomas and Mack Center
The Thomas and Mack Center is located in Las Vegas on the campus of UNLV. The Thomas and Mack Center is where all the large spectator sports in Las Vegas take place. This venue is part of a three building complex - the other two buildings are the Cox Pavilion, and Sam Boyd Stadium.
