Holy Cross Church Description
(Local Name: Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche) From the Hauptplatz in Landsberg it is a short distance through the Schöner Turm ("Schmalztor"), up the steep Alte Bergstrasse and then left to the Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche (1752-54), a former Jesuit church with a richly appointed Baroque interior, beautiful ceiling paintings and an arcaded courtyard. Here too is the Municipal Museum (Stadtmuseum; pictures, medieval sculpture, history of the region, local craft products).
