Lampang - Surroundings

The countryside north of Lampang is covered by dense almost untouched mountain forests, interspersed with deep ravines and towered over by rugged cliffs. The peak of Doi Khun Tan rises to 1348 m (4423 ft) and there is a good view of it from the train and from Highway 11 to Chiang Mai.
