Nassau

In the lower Lahn valley is the little town of Nassau, with a handsome half-timbered Town Hall (1607) and a Schloss of 1621. This was the birthplace of the Prussian statesman and reformer Freiherr vom Stein (1757-1831). Above the left bank of the river are two ruined castles, Burg Stein and Burg Nassau.
