Antigua - Central Marketplace

(Local Name: Mercado) Considered the most important traditional marketplace in the country, the Mercado is busiest in the morning when village people from the vicinity are buying and selling. Fresh fruit and vegetables and a big selection of handicrafts, typical of this region, are available from vendors wearing the colorful costumes of their native towns.
