Kyritz - Half-timbered Houses

In spite of numerous fires, Kyritz has preserved a number of 17th century half-timbered houses with fine carving and inscriptions on the beams (examples are Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Strasse 36 and Bahnhofstrasse 44 (1699), as well as a number of 18th C. houses with overhanging eaves.

There are some remains of the medieval town walls on the east side of the town.
