Losinj

The Island of Losinj (Lussino) is located at the southern end of Cres Island and connected by a bridge. Losinj is a smaller island than Cres but is more densely populated and more popular with tourist. It has a mild climate, lush vegetation and a famous 30km / 18mi long beach at Cikat Bay. The main towns on Losinj are Mali Losinj and Veli Losinj. Mali Lonsinj is the main resort town on the island and where most visitors stay.

Veli Losinj is quieter but does have facilities for travelers.

Nearby Losinj are the islands of Susak, Ilovik, and Unije, which are popular side trips that can be easily arranged in Mali Losinj.
