Kurukshetra - Sri Krishna Museum

The Sri Krishna Museum in Kurukshetra features ancient stone carvings and deities of Krishna and Vishnu. Works by hundreds of Indian artists are displayed including ancient and modern pieces.

Other exhibits in the Sri Krishna include miniature paintings, palm leaf etchings and illustrated manuscripts. The most popular gallery of the Sri Krishna Museum is number four, which contains nine life-size scenes or dioramas of Krishna in various poses. Costumes and jewelry are additional highlights of the dioramas.
