Kristianstad - Kongsgård Castle
17km/10mi northeast of Kristianstad stands Kongsgård Castle, originally (in medieval times) a monastery and now a hotel and restaurant. There are other castles at Ovesholm (with a beautiful English-style park) and Trolle Ljungby, which was rebuilt about 1660; from the same period dates Råbelöv Castle, on the lake of that name. In the Ivösjö is the island of Ivö (deposits of china clay; porcelain manufactory).
