Krimmler Tauernhaus

There is a rewarding climb of four hours, starting from Krimml, going up past the falls to the Schettbrücke (1.75 hours) and continuing (2.25 hours) to the Krimmler Tauernhaus (1,622m/5,322ft; inn). From there expert climbers can scale the Glockenkarkopf (2,913m/9,558ft; 4.5 hours), on the Italian frontier, and a number of other peaks in the Zillertal Alps. The climb from the Tauernhaus to the Krimmler Tauern pass (2,633m/8,639ft) takes 3.5 hours.
