Kozhikode - Mishkal Mosque

Mishkal Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Kozhikode. The four storied structure is supported by wooden pillars with a gabled roof. Built in traditional Keralan style, Mishkal Mosque was partially burned by the Portugese in 1510. Charred portions of the mosque still remain and most of the original building.

The origin of its name comes from the rich trader who built it.
