Ocean Terminal

The Ocean Terminal, at the southern tip of Kowloon, is both a landing-place for cruise ship passengers and a shopping center, with more than 100 shops on two levels. It is linked with the still larger Ocean Centre, opened in 1978, which also contains streets of shops. Together they form a huge shopping complex. From the roof of the building there are extensive views of the port installations and the famed skyline of Hong Kong Island.

Opposite the Sheraton Hotel is the New World Centre, which is almost as large and is also stocked with an abundance of wares to satisfy the most enthusiastic shopper. On the top floor is a huge restaurant with seating for no fewer than 6000 people.
