Hong Kong Museum of Art

The Hong Kong Museum of Art lies in the center of Kowloon, two minutes' walk from the Star Ferry Pier. Formerly in the City Hall, it is now housed in the Tsim Sha Tsui Cultural Complex. Its collections are mainly of Chinese art and antiquities. The exhibits include ceramics, bronzes, calligraphy, jade, paintings, paper-cuts and lacquer ware. Over 1000 paintings, prints, drawings and lithographs illustrate the history of art during the 18th and 19th centuries; in addition there are some 700 works of art by contemporary artists from Hong Kong and neighboring countries, many of them illustrating the merging of traditional Chinese and more modern elements in art.

There are conducted tours in English and Chinese.
