Korcula - Cathedral of St Mark

(Local Name: Katedrala Svetog Marka) One of the main attractions in the town of Korcula is the 15th Century, Gothic Renaissance, Cathedral of St Mark (Katedrala Svetog Marka). The beautiful cathedral, on Korcula's main square has a Romanesque portal created by Bonino of Milano, with carvings of Adam and Eve on either side and on top is a statue of St Mark.

Some of the greatest treasures of St Mark's Cathedral are found inside. The Renaissance ciborium above the altar was done by Marko Andrijic. The remains of St Theodore are held within the cathedral.
