Key West - Heritage House Museum
Built around 1834 and restored in 1934 for 5th generation Key West resident Jessie Porter Newman, this Caribbean Colonial mansion contains an eclectic collection of original 19th and 20th century furnishings as well as seafaring artifacts. For 15 winters, from 1945 to 1960, Poet Robert Frost lived in a cottage in the rear garden of the property. Visitors can sit in the tropical garden and listen to recordings of Frost reading his poetry.
