Ismail Bey Kulliyesi Description
This complex in Kastamonu was built ca. 1454 by the last Isfeniyaroglu Ismael Bey (1443-1461) and includes a mosque (reminiscent of the early Sultan's Mosque in Bursa; remarkable porch), bath, paupers' kitchen, caravanserai, theological college and mausoleum for the dynasts. The former Koran school is now used as a free lodging house for older men.
