Refectory Description
By the gateway of the convent at the Nea Moni Church is a chapel commemorating those who were killed in 1822. Other notable features are the old refectory (trápeza) and a large cistern a few paces to the right of the main gateway. From the terrace of the new refectory (the one used by the nuns) there is a very beautiful view.
