Wasserfallboden Reservoir

From the end of the Kesselstrasse a lift ascends by way of an intermediate station on the Königstuhl (1,560m/5,118ft), where a road (1.5km/1mi) branches off to the Limberg power station (1,573m/5,161ft), to the upper station on the Lärchwand (1,641m/5,384ft). The Mooserbodenstrasse (maximum gradient 12%, 1 in 8; works bus) leads up from here, passes through two tunnels and comes in 1km/0.75mi to the Limberg dam (120m/395ft high), at the northern end of the Wasserfallboden reservoir (1,672m/5,486ft; capacity 84.5million cubic meters/18,587million gallons).
