Kander-Klus
A narrow road runs through a tunnel in the rock into the Klus, a gorge through which the River Gander rushes and tumbles, and then continues uphill through a second tunnel on the left bank and another on the right bank. In 15 minutes it arrives at a magnificent stretch of the valley at Gasternholz (1,365 m/4,479ft; on the left bank the Waldhaus inn), with the mighty rock walls of the Tatlishorn and Altels towering up on the right. From here it is a 1.25-hour walk along the right bank to the huts of Selden.
