Description
The first of the ruins are of Wat Pu Mud Nok, followed by the smaller Wat Phra Meud, then the much larger Wat Phra Non, the temple of the reclining Buddha. The first building is a large bot which still retains pillars and walls with the narrow perpendicular window openings typical of Sukhothai architecture. The square wiharn behind it has four rows of four massive pillars. These once sheltered a reclining Buddha, but now all that is left is part of its long base. The larger of the two chedis in the temple precinct stood behind the wiharn, and was bell-shaped supported by an octagonal plinth on a square base.
