Kamphaeng Phet - Surroundings

To get to the finest, and most important, ruins, which are outside the city wall in a delightful park, leave the old town by the Sapan Kom Gate and follow the "Arunyik Area" signs. Here in the forests to the north of the town there are the splendid monasteries built in the Sukhothai style with considerable Singhalese influences by monks who followed a strict form of Buddhism.
