Jonathan Dickinson State Park includes the Loxahatchee River, Florida's first federally designated Wild and Scenic River. Over 12,000 acres allow visitors to watch the many birds including bald eagles, scrub jays and sandhill cranes that thrive amongst the parks plant life. Guided tours of the 1930s homestead of pioneer Trapper Nelson are available.
