Where to Stay & What to See in Japan

Japan, with its rich eastern heritage, modern architecture and cutting-edge technology, is popularly frequented as a vacation destination. Having given the world more than its dainty Sakura cherry blossom flowers, seaweed-enveloped Maki sushi rolls and Teriyaki-style dinners, Japan has a long list of attractions that claim its fame. Perhaps the best time to visit Japan is during the popular 'Golden Week' in early May which falls right before the rainy season in June. If you are going to be travelling during this peak time, it is best to make hotel reservations well ahead of time so as to guarantee a hotel of your choice. Hotel rooms in Japan tend to be relatively smaller compared to European standards.
