Agulhas Negras
One of the routes to the Pico das Agulhas Negras is a 30km/19mi trail starting from the car park. Alternatively the local hotel can provide transport to just below the summit (access also from the Engenheiro Passos-São Lourenço road), climbing equipment and guides. For an expedition of this kind some climbing experience is required. There are also conducted tours from Visconde de Maiá through the Serra da Mantiqueira to the Pico das Agulhas Negras.
