From the hill of Guarau, 3km/2mi from the town center, there is a fine view of Peruíbe. 9km/5.6mi from the town is the ruined church of Abarebebà, built of stone and shells - perhaps the earliest in the whole of Brazil.

There are dozens of beaches round Peruíbe. To the north are Samburá (7km/4.3mi), Arpoador (10km/6mi), Oásis (12km/7.5mi), Abarebebà (13km/8mi), Tapirema (15km/9.3mi) and Convento (19km/11.8mi). The wilder beaches lie to the south of the town. Easily accessible are Parque Turístico (1km/.7mi), Costão (2.5km/1.6mi) and Prainha (4km/2.5mi). The beaches beyond the village of Guaraú are in Juréia Park, the large nature reserve in southern São Paulo.
